Chicken or Egg

Since someone posted one on hexes I am wondering on this

If a monk casts [skill]life bond[/skill] on you and you use [skill]Dark Escape[/skill]

Does the ½ damage received take effect first or does the bonding reduction?

From my experiences, it's before the bonding.
But it's quite hard to notice it unless dealing with big packets of damage.

I'm pretty sure life bond is the last barrier the damage goes through. So DE would take effect first.

I don't think there's a general rule, and varies from skill to skill.

So your best bet would be to test it.

Stance > Hex > Enchantment

is the general order.
